Kathleen Picardi, Proprietress
A keen eye for color and an intuitive sense of style turned retail merchandiser
Kathleen Picardi’s lifelong dream of opening her own boutique into
an entrepreneurial reality.
Kathleen began her career in fashion as Retail Marketing Coordinator
for one of the industry’s most renowned purveyors of fine costume
and antique jewelry, the Napier Company. After 13 successful years, she
found herself searching for a new outlet to express her unquenchable passion

vintage and contemporary jewelry and embarked
on a long-time dream of owning her own boutique.
Kathleen found the perfect blend of old and new in a cozy neighborhood
shop in the historical town of |
|
Hingham, where she and husband, Bud Picardi, immediately
went to work customizing the interior to display an exclusive collection
of fashionable jewelry and accessories from around the world.
Johannah’s was established in 2003 and bears the
namesake of Kathleen’s grandmother, a woman whose penchant for shimmering
gemstones, peacock-feathered hats, and beaded handbags left a lasting
impression on her. Today the boutique is a bright jewel in the newly renovated
Hingham Square landscape and a mecca for those drawn to distinctive, handcrafted,
designer jewelry and fashion accessories. |
